技巧一：準備好充分的簽證材料
面談之前，必須充分準備好所有簽證材料，其中包括護照、身份證、簽證申請表及照片、以及英文成績等，注意，在學歷材料中，一定不要忽略了學歷學位原件及中英文證明原件、成績單中英文證明原件。
如果申請碩士，在準備的工作資料中不要忽略工作及收入證明。比如有關家庭及資金材料、收入證明，其中有家庭產業、配偶的收入證明、企業或公司證明材料原件，不要忽略了房產證原件(本人、父母或資助人)，準備在美國留學期間能夠支付留學費用的存款證明至關重要。
技巧二：必要的禮儀不可少
這是簽證官對你的第一印象，不可小覷。
輪到自己的時候，先要鎮定，做一個小小的動作，簽證官對你的印象分馬上就提高了：在前一位申請人未整理資料離開櫃檯的時候，你在一米距離以外靜靜等候，等前一位申請人離開了，簽證官叫到你的名字，立刻揚手或者點頭示意自己準備好了，然後快步走到櫃檯前，禮貌地和簽證官問好。
不要在前一位申請者還沒有離開時，就匆忙湊上前去，中國人在擁擠的生活環境裏習慣了什麼都要爭，而美國等西方國家，則十分遵守秩序。
技巧三：反應快，說話慢
有些申請人出於緊張或過於想表達好的原因，使得說話比較快。不要急，有話慢慢說。因爲很多申請人英語水平都不怎麼流利，說快了，簽證官不知道你說什麼。同時反應要快，不要簽證官問你問題，停頓太久也回答不上來。當你沒聽清問題時，可以禮貌地請簽證官再說一遍，切忌無動於衷。
技巧四：一開口就動手
不要誤會了，不是讓你一開口就手舞足蹈，而是說，當你回答簽證問話的時候，要主動遞交證明材料，如簽證官問你爸爸做什麼工作時，你在回答的同時要遞交工作證明材料。通常情況下，簽證官不會主動要求你遞交某項材料，你在回答問話的時候是要主動提交的。
有不少人向我諮詢的時候都說，簽證官什麼材料都沒有看，就拒籤我了。就是因爲不懂得這個技巧的原因。
技巧五：眼睛跟着簽證官走
請注意：人與人在溝通的過程中，眼神的交流是必要的禮貌體現，說明你很注重對方。簽證官在和你面談時，是懷着一個平等的心態進行的，所以你無需畏懼他的目光。說話的時候，你應該配合用眼神和他交流，眼睛要直視對方，不要目光遊移不定，它會影響考官對你的信賴。眼睛是心靈的窗戶，讓他感覺到你的心靈是敞開的。
技巧六：面簽過程適當使用感情牌
美國留學面籤考官除了檢驗申請者的語言水平，還會根據觀察你的性格特點，以便判斷申請者是否具有適應海外各種環境變化的生存能力。不僅如此，考官還會在交流會考察申請者的邏輯推理、應變等綜合素質。
因此，在面簽過程中，學生應該儘量拉近與考官之間的距離，讓你們的交流氛圍變得輕鬆、歡愉。此外，要注意對方的表情與反應，適時地微笑與點頭表示自己充分了解他的談話內容，但是切忌一點，不要開考官的玩笑，以免讓考官覺得在藐視他。

技巧八：專業的介紹講究策略
在專業的陳述上，許多留學生提到自己專業時，僅僅是簡單報一個專業名稱，而後用很專業的術語來詳細介紹自己的專業，這樣做是忽略了簽證官的感受。

一部分專業在美國政府看來是敏感專業，如軍工、生化、航空等。這類專業的留學生在面試時，需要特別注意迴避自己專業的敏感性，在進行專業陳述時，就要突出自己專業中可以用於民用的部分，突出自己回國就業的優勢等，而不要突出其在軍事或生化領域的作用，避免讓簽證官抓住拒籤的理由。如果不可避免地提到了自己專業的敏感性，那麼留學生也應當對此做出一些合理的解釋，來幫助簽證官瞭解自己的申請意圖。
技巧九：順暢的表達方式
簽證過程中因精神緊張而出現口誤的情況很普遍，通常表現爲與簽證官對話含混不清、或詞不達意、或講話斷續支吾又或眼神遊移不定等，因此，學生面試之前就對簽證官的提問有一個初步瞭解，並增強自己的對話能力，使簽證官在和你交談之後能夠做出清晰的判斷。
技巧十：態度要誠實和積極
態度決定一切!誠實是基礎，如實回答簽證官的問題，不要撒謊，不要把他們看成傻子，否則會令他們很生氣後果很嚴重!不要不懂裝懂，信口開河。面試是一個交流的過程，如果留學生只是被動的回答簽證官的問題，那麼可能無法完全地表達自己，無法將該轉達的信息傳達給簽證官。因此，留學生在面試前準備時，就應當確定哪些內容是自己一定希望傳達給簽證官的，這樣在面試時可以有意識地引導談話，說出自己想說的部分，以此來提高簽證的'通過幾率。
美國留學簽證面簽註意事項1.到達相應的使領館後請先在外面排隊，在預約時間之前等候大約30分鐘。
2.接受安全檢查—請不要隨身攜帶任何電子產品，包括手機。也不要攜帶揹包、手提箱、公文包或手推童車等。申請人只能攜帶跟簽證申請有關的文香港幼兒園課程件。
