1. nominate

vt. 任命;提名…爲候選人;挑選;指定(時間、日期、名稱等);

[例句]Practically every movie he made was nominated for an Oscar.

他執導的影片幾乎每部都獲得過奧斯卡獎提名。

2. noteworthy

adj. 值得注意的,顯著的,重要的;

[例句]It is noteworthy that the programme has been shifted from its original August slot to July.

值得注意的是該節目已從原來8月份的檔期換到了7月份。

3. notorious

adj. 臭名昭著的;聲名狼藉的;臭名遠揚的;惡名昭著;

[例句]She told us the story of one of Britain's most notorious country house murders.

她給我們講述了英國最有名的一起鄉村別墅謀殺案。

4. notwithstanding

prep. 儘管;雖然;

adv. 還是;儘管如此,仍然;

conj. 雖然,儘管;

5. nourish
