扶貧扶貧，越貧越扶，越扶越貧，你相信嗎?我就看到過這樣的事情。
我外婆的家鄉是在粵北一個極爲貧困的小村莊，全國數一數二的重點扶貧對象。那天，當我踏足這個只有三、四十戶人口的地方，一切令我目瞪口呆：彎彎曲曲的卷道，搖搖欲墜的土磚房，荒蕪開裂的田地，整個村莊看起來暗黑暗黑的，就像暴風雨前烏雲蓋天一般。
走進三姨婆家，我更爲它的簡陋所驚呆：沒有自來水，沒有電燈，兩張橋凳上放一張木板便是牀，全家只有一個半米高的小板凳，只有三姨公可以坐，一家大小隻有三姨公偶爾會拖拉着一雙舊得看不出原來模樣的土布鞋。
這晚，碰巧讓我趕上了上級來這兒視察貧困情況。三姨公一聽到這個消息，就立即蹬掉了那雙舊鞋，光着腳滿屋亂竄;油箱裏的油要倒大半出來藏好;竈前的柴不要堆太多，留一兩跟就好了;一家大小都要換上一套更破、更舊的衣服;才兩歲的小丫乾脆褲子也不用穿了;米缸掏空它，扔幾個黑饅頭下去;連那張唯一的板凳也藏了起來……
經過這麼一折騰，這更變成了人間地獄。
晚上，上級的工作人員到了三姨公家裏，於是在只有豆苗大小的火光中，嗚咽聲，小孩的哭鬧聲混雜在一起，就像曠野墳場上那詭異的風聲，跳躍的火苗把三姨公一家人的影子映在牆上，斑斑駁駁，閃爍不定。
第二天，批示就出來了，這裏還需要繼續大力扶貧!也就這天，調查人員走了，我聽見了三姨公家裏的鍋舀聲。三姨公照舊倚坐在門角吸着旱菸。其實，這裏不只三姨公這樣，其它人家裏的男人也是整天在這條閉塞的巷子裏閒逛，孩子也不上學，整天亂竄，女人們就只管一日三餐，唯一無人打理的，是那些田地。
我用我僅有的一點化學知識，對土地作了初步的.判斷，其實這些土壤並非十分貧瘠，雖然這裏是粵北，但仍屬於中國的南部，仍然是氣候比較宜人的地方，不致於農作物顆粒無收。
我問三姨婆，爲什麼不做田裏的活。三姨婆看了我一眼，說：
“那麼積極幹嘛，日裏曬，雨裏淋，也就一個肚飽，我還不如坐着等吃。”
我驚訝於這句話，難怪這裏的人一輩又一輩地窮下去，工作對於他們來說無意義，讀書也是白搭。
這裏真正貧瘠地不是土地，而是人心!
這裏真正缺乏地不是金錢，而是尊嚴!
這裏真正需要扶貧的不是物質，而是人們的精神!
幫助別人脫貧也要走對路，要幫助他自力更生，而不是永無休止的施捨。其它的幫助也是這樣，否則，就會落入“越扶越貧，越貧越扶――越幫越忙，越忙越幫”的怪圈。
