城中盛傳：一個女人要成功，是要比男人付出更多，犧牲更多。於是在這樣的或假想或現實的前提下，女人們一個個鉚足勁，戰袍加身，是所向而無畏。
我相信女人相較於男人總是思慮更多。她對周遭一切都如此敏感。她調整好自己的方向會一往無前。在她青春期時即瞧不上那無知無識的愣頭青的小弟;長大後她因著自己的需要而決定面對男人時而楚楚，間或嬌憨。然而當一個社會被這樣的女性氣質所籠罩，便即也失去了那男性的雄渾的粗糙的美。
記得有一天我坐在一戶德國人家的花園裏，水榭聽香，蜜蜂圍著我們的蛋糕嗡嗡不去，風鈴在此處無聲時偶一翩躚。我試圖向主人解釋中國古人的審美。為什麼妖豔的玫瑰不是文人的理想，怎樣是梅蘭竹的高潔，如何是出仕和入山。然而我怎樣也沒有講明白，我想橫亙在我們之間的，恐怕不是語言的隔閡。
然而我生也晚。當我在雲淡風清的德國的8月，披著亞麻圍巾坐而論道的時候，有多少我的同胞事實上流著血汗擠在人堆裏奮鬥。生存固然不易，而當“向上，向上，永不停止地向上”被內化為一種原動力，整個社會已註定在一片積極進取中驚濤駭浪。
每當我看到德國的綠樹青山一片蓊鬱，茂林野谷一脈天成，就不由心痛。覺得國人只是苦於太過勤奮，見不得山水裏沒有人跡。於是有個山必定要砌條花崗巖大路，是個山清水秀的所在一準要建個好恢宏的XX風景區管委會。鬧哄哄整得片白芒芒大地好不乾淨。一切，都只源於太過進齲
進取，本是國人的傳統。倘若德國人那樣有個好天氣便心滿意足地坐下來喝咖啡曬太陽，是要從內心深處深深羞愧極不和諧的'。加上這個笑貧不笑娼的好時代，進取，已不僅是美德，而是信仰。
我好像離題了。之所以記下“關於女人的話題”，是因為我很不進取地煲了一套港劇，《女人最痛》。不知道為什麼我總是羞於提到“女人”二字，總覺得風格不夠清新，初聽臺灣人“女生，女生”地嗲聲嗲氣，也覺做作，久了竟也耳嚅目染。然而香港人是不憚於大聲地嚷嚷有關“女人”的話題的。我在香港，總是駭於行人步速之快，路人妝容之精緻，以及所費僅2.3港幣的極草根的天星小輪行駛在維港燈火幻影中的謙遜。這個社會是女性化的，它因了人人求盡善的壓力而盛氣凌人。它是無尚之進取，亦是極致之市儈。連道德，都是商業的。
在港劇中亦不乏對社會的過分進取的反思。然而不知是出於編劇自身的原因，還是整個社會的審美能力問題，總之一定是一邊倒的所謂“真善美”。一邊是沒來由的大奸大惡，一邊是永遠扎堆作妻慈子孝的閤家歡樂。因此必須要最後讚一下本劇的編者。雖然很多情節和人物都荒唐可笑，但JACKIE作為主角的非仁義道德化和從始至終的理直氣壯，足見編劇是個認真對待工作且極進取的實誠人。
