春節的英語作文 篇3

Chinese New Year or Spring Festival is the most important of the traditional Chinese holidays. It is sometimes called the "Lunar New Year" by English speakers. The festival traditionally begins on the first day of the first month (Chinese: 正月; pinyin: zhēng yuè) in the Chinese calendar and ends on the 15th; this day is called Lantern Festival. Chinese New Years Eve is known as chú xī. It literally means "Year-pass Eve".

Chinese New Year is the longest and most important festivity in the Lunar Calendar. The origin of Chinese New Year is itself centuries old and gains significance because of several myths and traditions. Ancient Chinese New Year is a reflection on how the people behaved and what they believed in the most.

Celebrated in areas with large populations of ethnic Chinese, Chinese New Year is considered a major holiday for the Chinese and has had influence on the new year celebrations of its geographic neighbors, as well as cultures with whom the Chinese have had extensive interaction. These include Koreans (Seollal), Tbetans and Bhutanese (Losar), Mongolians (Tsagaan Sar), Vietnamese (Tet), and formerly the Japanese before 1873 (Oshogatsu). Outside of Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Twan, Chinese New Year is also celebrated in countries with significant Han Chinese populations, such as Singapore, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand. In countries such as Australia, Canada and the United States, although Chinese New Year is not an official holiday, many ethnic Chinese hold large celebrations and Australia Post, Canada Post, and the US Postal Service issues New Years themed stamps.

Within China, regional customs and traditions concerning the celebration of the Chinese new year vary widely. People will pour out their money to buy presents, decoration, material, food, and clothing. It is also the tradition that every family thoroughly cleans the house to sweep away any ill-fortune in hopes to make way for good incoming luck. Windows and doors will be decorated with red colour paper-cuts and couplets with popular themes of “happiness”, “wealth”, and “longevity”. On the Eve of Chinese New Year, supper is a feast with families. Food will include such items as pigs, ducks, chicken and sweet delicacies. The family will end the night with firecrackers. Early the next morning, children will greet their parents by wishing them a healthy and happy new year, and receive money in red paper envelopes. The Chinese New Year tradition is a great way to reconcile forgetting all grudges, and sincerely wish peace and happiness for everyone.

Although the Chinese calendar traditionally does not use continuously numbered years, outside China its years are often numbered from the reign of Huangdi. But at least three different years numbered 1 are now used by various scholars, making the year 20xx "Chinese Year" .

Naughty I ran out the weeds to feed the musk pigs, fed into the half, suddenly, "roar!" A sound, like a quiet sky, suddenly sent a burst of thunder. I ran away and went back to my parents. The next thing is to go to the night market to eat! After eating the "ABO" mutton soup, we drove home by the traffic jam. 春節的英語作文 篇7

There are many traditional cultures. I like Spring Festival best.

Legend has it that once upon a time there was a monster named nian who often went to the village to harm people and eat cows and sheep. So people want to get rid of it. But no matter what people do, they cant get rid of the year. In the end, a child accidentally lit a bamboo and made a crackling sound, and the year was scared away. People are happy. Later on, people set off firecrackers on this day in order to commemorate this happy day. Later, it gradually evolved into the "Spring Festival" festival.

I go back to my hometown every year. Its very busy every year. On the day before the New Year, it is also called New Years eve. Every household is affixed with the Spring Festival couplets, labeled "fu". Some people have the ingenuity to put their own Windows in the window, like falling snow. Others hang lanterns on the front door.

That night, the sound of the cannon, like thunder, went on and on. Li hua red the whole sky, like beautiful flowers. When the firecrackers were finished, people picked up the dumplings and ate the dumplings. The children were reunited with their parents. People eat hot dumplings and watch the wonderful Spring Festival gala, until midnight, and the New Years bell rings. The next morning, people got up very early, and children and adults were breathing new clothes and going door-to-door. Everyone has a smile on his face and an auspicious one in his mouth.

The atmosphere of joy lasted until the 15th day of the first lunar month.

This year I had a very interesting Spring Festival in the countrys grandmothers house, which was more interesting than the Spring Festival in the city.

The twelfth lunar month twenty-three, my uncle began to buy special purchases for the Spring Festival, he went to town to buy a lot of meat, bought a lot of fish, and bought a lot of fruits and vegetables.

The twelfth lunar month twenty-four, we left the house, the yard clean.

The twelfth lunar month twenty-five, twenty-six, we began to prepare for the dinner on New Years Eve ingredients.

The twelfth lunar month twenty-eight, we began to attach the antithetical couplet. Antithetical couplet couplet is: realize the dream Chinese build up the family fortunes: reform and innovation; the second line is to dare daring vanguard; Hengpi: sanyangkaitai.

Thirty of the year is more interesting. The night we eat the dinner on New Years Eve in full swing to watch the Spring Festival evening party, stay up and wait for the arrival of the new year. After 0, families began to set off firecrackers. On the first day of the year, the neighbourhood was given to Grandpa and grandma.

Happy New Year!
