Stop Polluting the Water!

Spring is the best season of a year. The weather gets warmer and Waemer. My classmates and I took a one-day sightseeing tour around our city. The scene was very beautiful. But when we saw the rivers along our city, I felt very sorry and thought a lot.

With the development of; modern industry and agriculture, more and more waste is being poured into rivers. It has caused serious pollution. The rivers are becoming so dirty that nothing can live in them. The rivers are giving off a terrible smell.

We make an urgent appeal that measures should be taken to cope with the situation. Our government should build various facilities such as sewage treatment plant and encourage scientists to work out more and better ways to reduce water pollution.

Water is the source of our lives. It is very important to protect the water.

The graduate will have some difficulties to finding their satisfying jobs. Parents may have economic pressure to support their kids’ living expenses.

Facing the heavy pressure, people’s opinions vary from person to person. Some people hold an idea that they want to their lives be full with all kinds of pressure and challenges. Then they want to get passions and sense of achievement by solving different stress. They are superior to ordinary ad boring life.

On the contrary, the other have the opposite point. They think that some pressure is too difficult to overcome it. After that, they will come into being sense of failure slowly and lose confidence in life. If they were not persevering enough, they would be scared of pressure and emerge some psychological and physiological problems.

With reference to my standpoint, to some extent, lives will be better with some moderate stress. Because stress can encourage us move on our goals and give our motivation. However, the pressure shouldn’t be too heavy in order to avoid making people feel depressed.

One morning last April, Joan was lying in bed when the telephone rang. It was her friend, Dave, who invited her out for a picnic at the seaside.

Later that day she left her flat and walked to the bus stop to catch the bus. Joan was wearing a T-shirt and skirt as it was quite hot. As she sat on the bus she looked out of the window. The sun was shining. She saw a plane going over a forest and some horses in the fields.

Before long she arrived at the seaside and met Dave. They went down to the beach and had their picnic next to a rock. They had sandwiches and crisps, and Dave painted a picture. They had a lovely day.

arbor day (day of trees) april 10 (the us, canada, australia...) in many countries it has long been the tradition to hold an annual tree or forest festival. the origin of such celebrations dates back to antiquity and is in the dawn of religious feeling and awe for what trees represented. however, arbor day, as it is commonly known today, is of american origin and evolved from conditions peculiar to the great plains. it was first observed in nebraska in 1872.

the idea, conceived by j.s. morton, then a member of the nebraska state board of agriculture, was one of forest conservation. it was a move to promote replanting, following deforestation, and to plant up treeless areas. the idea has spread widely to other lands where it is variously celebrated as thefestival of trees;,greening week; of japan, the new year;s days of trees; in israel, the tree-loving week; of korea, the reforestation week; of

yugoslavia, the students; afforestation day; of iceland andthe national festival of tree planting; in india. arbor day in its various forms is now recognised in more than fifty countries.
