  常見錯誤

  1、名詞錯誤

名詞單、複數用錯,可數與不可數名詞的混用。

例如:

①We study quite a few subject, such as maths, Chinese, English and physics.

A few後面應該用複數,所以subject改爲subjects。

②They were eager to know everything about China and asked me lots of question.

Question爲可數名詞,lots of後面是複數形式,所以question改爲questions

③I hope that you two could come and visit us some Times

“Times”表示次數時是可數名詞,表示時間概念時是不可數名詞,根據句意times應改爲time。

  2、時態錯誤

在一篇結構完整、語義連續的短文中,時態的使用也應該連貫一致,但是英語表示時間時,主句和從句時態可能不一致,卻仍表明完整正確的意思。這就要求考生準確判斷句中動作的時態,培養對英語時態的敏感度。?

例如:

①He can’t remember what he once knows.

主句用的是一般現在時,賓語從句中有once(從前)作爲明顯的時間狀語,因而從句中動詞應用過去時knew。

②It was kind of them to meet me at the railway station and drove me to their home.

“and”兩邊應該是平行的,“and”前面是動詞原形meet,“and”後面應該也用動詞原形,所以將drove改爲drive。

  3、語態錯誤

在PETS二級短文改錯題中最常見的語態錯誤是被動語態被誤用爲主動語態。因爲漢語表達習慣上有時不加“被”字也能表示被動,因而造成考生對被動語態不敏感。另外,不及物動詞不能攜帶賓語,因而也就沒有被動語態。

例如:

She was very angry at not telling the truth when she listened to the account.

意思是:當她聽這個敘述的'時候,她很生氣沒有被告知真相。這裏“她”是被告訴的對象,因而telling應改爲being told。

  虛擬語氣錯誤

虛擬語氣的使用錯誤在綜合改錯題中主要表現爲主句和從句的語氣不協調。

例如: We suggest that Henry is told about his condition as soon as possible.

句中動詞suggest之後的從句應用虛擬語氣,故“is”應改爲“be”或“should be”。類似的動詞還有propose/ insist/order等等。

  非謂語動詞的錯用。

例如:

①Play football not only makes me grow up…

Play football是動詞,不能做主語,應將其改爲Playing football。

②I want to thank you again for have me in your home for the summer holidays.

介詞後面應跟名詞,所以for have應改爲for having。

③I’d like to your pen friend, and get to know more about your country.

would like to後面應加to do,your pen friend是名詞短語,不能直接放在would like to後面,所以應改爲to be your pen friend。
