比較級形容詞或副詞 + than
You are taller than I.
They lights in your room are as bright as those in mine.
注意：
1)要避免重複使用比較級。
(錯) He is more cleverer than his brother.
(對) He is more clever than his brother. (對) He is clever than his brother.
2)要避免將主語含在比較對象中。
(錯) China is larger that any country in Asia.
(對) China is larger than any other countries in Asia.
3)要注意對應句型，遵循前後一致的原則。
The population of Shanghai is larger than that of Beijing.
It is easier to make a plan than to carry it out.
比較：Which is large, Canada or Australia?
Which is the larger country, Canada or Australia?
She is taller than her two sisters.
She is the taller of the two sisters.
可修飾比較級的詞
1)a bit, a little, rather, much, far, by far, many, a lot, lots, a great deal, any, still, even等
2)還可以用表示倍數的詞或度量名詞作修飾語。
3)以上詞(除by far)外，必須置於比較級形容詞或副詞的前面。
和more有關的詞組
1) the more… the more… 越……就越……
The harder you work，the greater progress youll make.
2) more B than A 與其說A不如說B
less A than B
He is more lazy than slow at his work.= He is less slow than lazy at his work.
3) no more… than… 與……一樣……，不比……多
The officials could see no more than the Emperor.
no less… than… 與……一樣……

一些容易混淆的介詞
1.表示時間的at、on、in的用法區別
at主要表示：
(1)在某具體時刻之前，如at seven o’ clock，at 7：30。
(2)在固定短語中，如：at noon，at night，at that time，at the age of at the weekend，at Christmas。
On用來表示“在……天”，如：On Monday，On May lst，On Children’s Day。
in用來表示：
(1)在某年、某月、某季節。
(2)在—段時間之後，如：in two hours，in a few days。
注意：在純粹地表示在上午/下午/晚上時，用in the morning/afternoon/evening，但在某一天的上午、下午、晚上前要用介詞on。如：on Monday morning，on the morning of Children’ s Day。
2. 表示地點的at，in，on的.用法區別
(1) at通常指小地方，in一般指大地方。
(2) at 所指範圍不太明確，in指“在……裏”。
(3) in指在內部，on指“在……之上”。
3.表示“一段時間”的for與since的用法區別
for後面接時間段，since之後接時間點。
