1.對話預測
在聽取對話，尤其是Part A——Short Conversation時，考生可以按照下例wh-問題進行預測：

(3)When did they have the conversation?
(4)Where did the conversation take place
(5)Why do they have the conversation?
(6)What did they plan to do?
2.語篇預測
在Part B，Longer Conversation的聽力過程中，考生按下列問題展開預測：
(1)What is the topic of the passage?
(2)Who is the speaker?
(3)What facts did the speaker offer?
(4)What facts did the speaker fail tooffer?
3.依靠開篇句預測
英語聽力的第一句話通常會透露整篇的主題，所以考生要善於抓住聽力材料的首句信息。
例如：Americans have a popular saying“Time is money。”
從這一句開篇句我們可以預測的信息範圍：
(1)這是一篇關於時間的話題。
(2)涉及的對象是美國人。
4.根據打印在試卷上的聽力試題內容預測。
例如：
(A)Husband and wife.
(B)Waiter and customer.
(C)Student and teacher
(D)Receptionist and guest
根據聽力試題,考生可以預測到該對話肯定是側重於對話人的身份,所以在聽力過程中抓住透露雙方關係的關鍵詞即可。
2 識別關鍵詞的技巧
1.透露說話人身份的關鍵詞
如果考生可以通過關鍵詞很快判斷對話者的關係和身份，將有助於考生有目的地集中注意力，並在腦海中搜索相關背景知識，進一步加深對聽力材料的理解。
例如：I just can’t believe you are apolice officer，Kay.I remember in high school,you always wanted to be a lawyer.
如果考生意識到該對話中的關鍵詞爲in high school,那麼他馬上可以意識到這是兩個老同學之間的對話。
