需要指出的是所謂十句作文並非一定10句，從很多考生的高分(200詞以下)來分析，句子數量在8句至12句(依句子長短和結構不同而不同)。如以每個句子平均10—15個單詞計算，便能用8—12個句子完成一篇要求120—150字的作文。

結尾
第一段爲開頭，包括兩句。第一句爲主題句，必須提出，通過問題點明全文主題;第二句爲擴展句，須進一步說明和支持主題句。或是將關係倒過來，由第一句說明情況，第二句提出問題。
第二段爲正文，共七句。第一句(句3)爲主題句，提出本段的主題，它應與第一段的主題相關和一致。第二句至第七句(句4一句7)爲擴展句，說明和支持本段的主題。句與句之間要注意運用好過渡使段落邏輯合理，結構得當。
第三段爲結尾，簡化爲一句，也是全文的總結句，它將前面內容總結爲一結果，表明自己的論點。
三段之間的連接要靈活運用“啓、承、轉、合”的連接過渡手段。例如：
