No young man believes he shall ever die. It was a saying of my brother’s, and a fine one. There is a feeling of Eternity in youth, which makes us amend for everything. To be young is to be as one of the Immortal Gods. One half of time indeed is flown-the other half remains in store for us with all its countless treasures; for there is no line drawn, and we see no limit to our hopes and wishes. We make the coming age our own -- The vast, the unbounded prospect lies before us

Death. old age. are words without a meaning. that pass by us like the idea air which we regard not. Others may have undergone, or may still be liable to them-we "bear a charmed life”, which laughs to scorn all such sickly fancies. As in setting out on delightful journey, we strain our eager gaze forward- Bidding the lovely scenes at distance hail!-and see no end to the landscape, new objects presenting themselves as we advance; so, in the commencement of life, we set no bounds to our inclinations. nor to the unrestricted opportunities of gratifying them. we have as yet found no obstacle, no disposition to flag; and it seems that we can go on so forever. We look round in a new world, full of life, and motion, and ceaseless progress; and feel in ourselves all the vigor and spirit to keep pace with it, and do not foresee from any present symptoms how we shall be left behind in the natural course of things, decline into old age, and drop into the grave. It is the simplicity, and as it were abstractedness of our feelings in youth, that (so to speak) identifies us with nature, and (our experience being slight and our passions strong) deludes us into a belief of being immortal like it. Our short-lives connection with existence we fondly flatter ourselves, is an indissoluble and lasting union-a honeymoon that knows neither coldness, jar, nor separation. As infants smile and sleep, we are rocked in the cradle of our wayward fancies, and lulled into security by the roar of the universe around us. we quaff the cup of life with eager haste without draining it, instead of which it only overflows the more objects press around us, filling the mind with their magnitude and with the strong of desires that wait upon them, so that we have no room for the thoughts of death.

死亡，老年，不過是空話，毫無意義；我們聽了，只耳邊風，全不放在心上。這些事，別人也許經歷過，或者可能要承受，但是我們自己，“在靈符護佑下度日”，對於諸如此類脆弱的念頭，統統付之輕蔑的一笑。像是剛剛走上愉快的旅程，極目遠眺——向遠方的美景歡呼！此時，但覺好風光應接不暇，而且，前程更有美不勝收的新鮮景緻。在這生活的開端，我們聽任自己的`志趣馳騁，放手給它們一切滿足的機會。到此爲止，我們還沒有碰上過什麼障礙，也沒有感覺到什麼疲憊，因此覺得還可以一直這樣向前走去，直到永遠。我們看到四周一派新天地——生機盎然，變動不居，日新月異；我們覺得自己活力充盈，精神飽滿，可與宇宙並駕齊驅。而且，眼前也無任何跡象可以證明，在大自然的發展過程中，我們自己也會落伍，衰老，進入墳墓。由於年輕人天真單純，可以說是茫然無知，因而將自己跟大自然劃上等號；並且，由於經驗少而感情盛，誤以爲自己也能和大自然一樣永世長存。我們一廂情願，癡心妄想，竟把自己在世上的暫時棲身，當作千古不變、萬事長存的結合，好像沒有冷淡、爭執、離別的密月。像嬰兒帶着微笑入睡，我們躺在用自己編織成的搖籃裏，讓大千世界的萬籟之聲催哄我們安然入夢；我們急切切，興沖沖地暢飲生命之杯，怎麼也不會飲幹，反而好像永遠是滿滿欲溢；森羅萬象紛至沓來，各種慾望隨之而生，使我們騰不出工夫

Three passions, simple but overwhelmingly strong, have governed my life: the longing for love, the search for knowledge, and unbearable pity for the suffering of mankind. Children in famine, victims tortured by oppressors, helpless old people a burden to their sons, and the whole world of loneliness, poverty, and pain make a mockery of what human life should be. I long to alleviate this evil, but I cannot, and I too suffer.

This has been my life. I have found it worth living, and would gladly live it again if the chance were offered me.

She ran for Operation Smile, Operation Smile is a none profit organization that helps children worldwide suffering from cleft lip or cleft palate at no charge.

My daughter believe that no child should be without a smile, so to help even more, she took her running even further, she went on a journey on becoming the youngest female in the world to run 7 marathons on 7 continents in the name of Operation Smile, she raised money & awareness to this organization.

女兒覺得每個孩子都應該可以微笑，於是，爲了幫到更多人，她把她的長跑事業推向了新高度，她決定成爲史上最年輕的在7大洲完成7次馬拉松的女性，並通過這樣爲該非盈利機構籌集了資金、贏得了關注。

She completed her journey by age 12 on February 19, 2015.

But she's not done, she now continues to help inspire others by person she inspired so much, is her little brother Jordan, he is 7 years old, & has runned to this day, 105x 5k's , 11x 10k's , & 4x half marathons. He will be running all 7 continents too along with Blanca, starting in November 2017 in Australia.

A doctor entered the hospital in hurry after being called in for an urgent surgery. He answered the call asap, changed his clothes & went directly to the surgery block. He found the boy's father pacing in thehall waiting for the doctor. On seeing him, the dad yelled:

在接到一通緊急手術的電話以後，一名醫生急匆匆地走進醫院。他一聽到電話馬上就接了，換了衣服，徑直走到手術區域。他看見患者的父親在走廊焦急地來回踱步等待着醫生，一看見醫生便咆哮道：

"Why did you take all this time to come? Don't you know that my son's life is in danger? Don't you have any sense of responsibility?"

你怎麼這麼久纔來？知不知道我的兒子危在旦夕？你還有沒有點責任心？

The doctor smiled & said:

醫生面帶微笑說道：

"I am sorry, I wasn't in the hospital & I came as fast as I could after receiving the call...... And now, I wish you'd calm down so that I can do my work"

“我很抱歉當時我不在醫院，接到電話以後我也儘可能快的趕來了，現在你需要冷靜，我要開始我的工作了。

"Calm down?! What if your son was in this room right now, would you calm down? If your own son dies now what will you do??" said the father angrily

冷靜？！如果現在手術室裏面的是你的兒子，你會冷靜麼？如果你自己的兒子要死了，你會怎麼做呢？這位父親生氣的說道。

The doctor smiled again & replied: "I will say what Job said in the Holy Book "From dust we came & to dust we return, blessed be the name of God". Doctors cannot prolong lives.

醫生依然面帶微笑回答道：我會說，約伯在《聖經》裏曾說，承蒙上天關愛，我們源於塵土也終將歸於塵土。

The surgery took some hours after which the doctor went out happy,"Thank goodness!, your son is saved!" And without waiting for the father's reply he carried on his way running. "If you have any question, ask the nurse!!"

手術進行了幾個小時，之後醫生高興地從裏面走出來。“感謝上帝，你的兒子得救了！“還沒有等父親回答，他就一路小跑走了“如果你有任何問題，問護士吧。”

"Why is he so arrogant? He couldn't wait some minutes so that I ask about my son's state" Commented the father when seeing the nurse minutes after the doctor left.

幾分鐘後父親看到護士抱怨道，“他爲什麼如此傲慢，也不等個幾分鐘讓我問問兒子的情況”

The nurse answered, tears coming down her face: "His son died yesterday in a road accident, he was in the burial when we called him for your son's surgery. And now that he saved your son's life, he left running to finish his son's burial."

“他的兒子昨天出交通事故去世了，我們打電話讓他手術的時候他正好在善後，現在他救好了你兒子就要趕回去參加葬禮。”說着護士留下了眼淚。

Moral - Never judge anyone..... because you never know how their life is and what they're going through"

這個故事告訴我們：不要輕易評價一個人，因爲你瞭解他們的人生也不知道他們此刻正在經歷什麼。
