when作爲定語從句的引導詞時，表示時間，在從句中充當時間狀語，後面需要加上完整的陳述語序。下面一起來看看when所造的定語從句例句吧!
when造定語從句句式如下：
表示時間的名詞+when+完整陳述句+句子其它成分。
when引導的定語從句可以放在主語，賓語或者表語，甚至爲名詞的賓補之後。
例：
The night when we took a stroll in the park was so cold.
咱們在公園散步的那個晚上好冷。
night 做主語，被定語從句when we took a stroll in the park 修飾。
I remember the night when we took a stroll in the park.
我記得那個咱們一起在公園散步的夜晚。
night變成了賓語，被定語從句when we took a stroll in the park修飾。
What I can never forget is the night when we took a stroll in the park.
我永不能忘記的是咱們一起在公園散步的那個夜晚。
night變成了表語，被定語從句when we took a stroll in the park修飾。
以上三組例句中，when後面所接的都是完整句，並且when 後的從句時態和主句一致。前提是when充當的從句的時間狀語，相當於是at the night.
所以，以上三句，可以把when都改成at which。

when在從句的作用不同
在時間狀語從句中，when是連詞，只起連接主句和從句的作用，不做從句的任何成分。不過when引導的時間狀語從句修飾主句的謂語，做主句的時間狀語。
在定語從句中，when是關係副詞，在從句中代替先行詞做從句的.時間狀語，修飾從句的謂語。
例1 I will always remember the days when I lived with my grandparents in the country.
例2 I always remember the days in the country when I see the photo of my grandparents.
點評：例1意爲“我會永遠記得跟我祖父母一起住在鄉下的那些日子”，其中when 引導的是一個定語從句, 修飾the days, when在從句中作時間狀語。例2意爲“當我看到祖父母的照片時，總是會想起在鄉下的那些日子”，其中when 引導的從句並不修飾前面的名詞the country，因此可判定爲時間狀語從句。
