2016年6月份的大學英語四六級考試出現了新的變化，尤其是在聽力部分。由於聽力在考試中佔比較大，大家有必要根據新變化進行有針對性的學習和備考。這樣在明年六月份中的考試中才能做到有備無患。
同往年一樣的是，四六級聽力佔全卷比例35%，總比例不變。而不同的是，四級新增新聞聽力三段，佔比7%(共7題，每題1%)， 長對話(舊題型)兩段佔比8%(共8題，每題1%，分值不變)，短文聽力(舊題型)三篇佔比20%(共10題，每題2%，分值增加)。六級長對話(舊題型)兩段佔比8%(共8題，每題1%，分值不變)，短文聽力(舊題型)二篇佔比7%(共7題，每題1%，分值不變)，新增講座/講話三篇(共10題，每題2%)。可以看出，調整後的四六級英語考試更側重考生的語言實際運用能力。
總體來說，聽力的考察難度加大，尤其是在新聞聽力考察方面，更是強調了同學們對相關話題的術語掌握情況。究竟如何能夠提高新聞聽力技能?這裏介紹幾種有效方法。
第一，在聽英文新聞之前，最好先閱讀一些關於新聞的英文報紙雜誌，如China Daily等等，閱讀其中的不同模塊的內容，如軍事、政治、文化等等，這樣可以提高大家對新聞材料的認知並積累相關語料。
第二，遇到聽不懂的地方，不用太在意，可以繼續往下聽，利用語篇的邏輯性和連貫性猜測文章的大概內容。如，聽不懂某個詞的意思沒有關係，只要我們大概瞭解這篇新聞說什麼即可。如果某個句子或是幾個句子沒有聽懂也沒有關係，我們聽後要回看原文，找出我們不能理解的原因所在，是因爲連讀發生音變，或是因爲詞彙語法結構沒有掌握。在練習的過程中一定要注意積累，並要跟着錄音去讀文章，提高對詞彙和語音的敏感度。
第三，對於新聞中比較難的人名和地名，我們只要能聽清它們的首字母即可，不需要知道它們到底是什麼，只要能夠根據首字母的.提示判斷選項內容正確與否即可。
最後，一定要多聽多練，推薦大家多聽VOA，BBC。剛開始可以從慢速開始，如果感覺能夠聽出文章大部分內容，大家可以轉向練習常速。
