這是一位相信很多舞友都不會忘記的人、一位舞界的傳奇;留給我們太多的驚喜和回憶，雖然他譭譽參半，但小5依舊喜歡他，因爲他爲音樂、舞蹈還有公益做了很多;樹大永遠是招風的，去掉傑克遜被妖魔化的面具，我們可以回顧到他很多的經典——經典的機械舞舞步、經典的太空漫步，還有經典的捂檔動作，那這個動作到底是什麼意思呢?
首先引用MJ本人在1993年2月10日Oprah訪談中的回答：
Oprah : I have to ask you this, so many mothers in my audience have said, please ask you this question - why do you always grab your crotch?
Michael : (Giggle) Why do I grab my crotch?
Oprah : Yeah, why? We think you've got a thing with your crotch going on there.
Michael : I think it happens subliminally. When you're dancing, you know you are just interpreting the music and the sounds and the accompaniment if there's a driving base, if there's a cello, if there's a string, you become the emotion of what that sound is, so if I'm doing a movement and I go bam and I grab myself it's... it's the music that compels me to do it, it's not saying that I'm dying to grab down there and it's not in a great place you don't think about it, it just happens, sometimes I'll look back at the footage and I go ... and I go did I do that, so I'm a slave to the rhythm, yeah, okay.
奧普拉-溫弗瑞：我必須問這個問題，很多爲人母的觀衆叫我問：爲什麼你總是抓褲襠?
邁克爾-傑克遜：“爲什麼總是抓褲襠?”

邁克爾-傑克遜：我覺得是潛意識作怪，我跳舞的'時候……如果你是個舞者，你會明白你是在音樂的伴奏下來解讀歌曲。有貝斯，就變成貝斯，有大提琴，你要融入其中。所以你會要表達那個聲音所蘊含的情感內涵。所以，我在做舞蹈動作，然後突然我抓褲襠，那不是事先設計的。我並非預先計劃好要抓褲襠，是沒經細想，完全是自然流露的。有時回看片斷我也很驚訝，我會說：“我真的做了那個動作嗎?”。我是節奏的奴隸，是的，就是這樣。
其次說明下，【This Is It】電影裏某位伴舞督導提到了，“抓襠”動作始於俄羅斯芭蕾。原句如下：

00:48:48 That's Russian. This is Russian.
00:48:50 So Baryshnikov does it like this...
00:48:52 you guys are doing like this. Same thing.
Stacy Walker (Associate Choreographer) 也在示範指導時表示：
00:48:58 I mean we're straight up and down now, right?
00:49:01 I don't think it's anything except hand moving.
誤會——“抓襠”原是芭蕾動作
《就是這樣》除了展現傑克遜的舞臺風采，也試圖還原曾被妖魔化的他。曾有媒體報道，當年傑克遜演唱會之所以與中國大陸失之交臂，和他在舞臺上那個“抓襠”動作有關聯。而在《就是這樣》中，通過一個芭蕾舞蹈演員的嘴似乎替傑克遜洗脫了“冤屈”，原來那個動作是20世紀初經典芭蕾舞動作，本來是用兩隻手的，但傑克遜因爲一隻手要拿話筒，所以變成一隻手抓。
