向別人道謝是門藝術，而在職場上尤其重要。thank, thankful, grateful, appreciate，中文意思都是感謝，但用法有什麼不同呢?小編敎你說出誠意十足的感謝，職場禮貌王非你莫屬!
謝 謝
thank (v.)
用法爲 thank someone for something。人可以省略，不過要注意，若 thank 後面要加「事情」，中間的for 不可省略喔!
(O) Thank you, sir. 謝謝你，先生。
(O) Thank you for your help. 謝謝你的幫忙。
(X) Thank your help. 謝謝你的幫忙。
(O) Thanks for your help. 謝謝你的幫忙。
thankful (adj.)
用法爲 be thankful for something 或直接加 that 子句。
I am thankful for what you have done for me.
我很感謝妳爲我做的一切。
I’m thankful that I’ve got a job.
我很慶幸自己有份工作。
appreciate (v.)
常見用法有三種，第一種爲 appreciate + 名詞。要注意的重點爲這個名詞必須爲事情，不能是人。簡單來說，人不能當 appreciate 的受詞喔!千萬別用錯啦!
I appreciate the pay raise.
我對加薪抱持着感激之情。
The boss appreciates Duncan’s effort.
老闆很感謝 Duncan 的'付出。
第二種爲後面接動名詞的用法，appreciate + V-ing。
I appreciate having this opportunity to display my talent.
我很感謝有這個能展現自己才能的機會。
第三種爲後面直接加 that 子句。
I appreciate that you made the effort to come.
我對你能撥冗前來感到很感激。
要注意!當 appreciate 直接加 that 子句，且 appreciate 後面接 if 或 when 引導的子句時，要先加 it。
I would appreciate it if you could let me know whether you will attend the meeting in advance.
如果你能提前告知我你是否會出席這場會議，我將會十分感激。

欣賞、賞識
I really appreciate his complete focus on his work.
我很欣賞他對工作的專注力。
There’s no point buying Paul expensive watches. He doesn’t appreciate them.
我不懂你幹嘛花大錢買表送給 Paul，他根本不懂得欣賞這些表。
增值
The house will continue to appreciate.
這棟房子將持續增值。
grateful (adj.)
常見用法有三種，第一種爲 be grateful (to someone) for something。
I’m grateful to my manager for talking me up in front of the boss.
我很感謝我的經理幫我在老闆面前說好話。
第二種爲後面接不定詞的用法，be grateful to V。
I’m grateful to be promoted!
謝天謝地，我要升遷啦!
第三種爲後面接 that 子句。
I’m just grateful that I don’t work for Tony any more.
感謝老天!我終於不用爲 Tony 工作啦。
