指代題
（1） 標誌：在題幹中明確指出原文中某個代詞，要求辨別其指代關係。
（2）解題順序：
① 返回原文，找出出題的指代詞。
② 向上/下搜索，找最近的名詞、名詞性短語或句子（先從最近點開始找，找不到再找次近的，一般答案不會離得太遠）。
③將找到的詞、詞組或句子與四個選項進行比較，找出最佳答案。
例題：

（3）定位到句，同義替換，得出答案。
結合指代題的的解題方法：
①返回原文，找出出題的指代詞。“there’s a new gold rush happening in the $4 million to $10 million range, predominantly fed by Wall Street bonuses,” 指出了曼哈頓的情形。
② 向上/下搜索，找最近的名詞、名詞性短語或句子：我們完整的看完這一段落，可以發現這是一個總分的結構：開段落開頭提出“總”：they’re not in despair because their own fortunes still feel pretty good.之後分兩點來解釋“總”。A:Home prices are holding steady in most Manhattan, San Francisco, ...
B：And most folks still feel pretty comfortable about their ability to find and keep a job.
而題目中的關鍵詞出現在分點A中，因此談論的'應該是Home prices，即選擇B選項。
提醒：大家一定要對段落結構敏感。在閱讀中，大多數的文章都採用總分的結構來寫，因此我們要注意“總”和“分”的究竟指的是什麼。

【分析】利用文中的原詞，進行干擾：在the $4 million to $10 million range出現地這句話中，出現過a new gold rush，出題者利用gold來混淆大家。
[C] stock exchange
【分析】和選項A一樣，利用文中的“Wall Street bonuses”,大家一看到華爾街，就會聯想到金融，就會很容易選擇選項C。
[D] venture investment
【分析】文中並未提及這一概念，但是有同學會根據“Wall Street bonuses”和“frenzied overbidding”開始腦補。但是大家在腦補的時候不要只根據個別單詞來，一定要根據文章段落的脈絡推斷。
