1.注意時態，語態
中英文的表達有很大的區別，其中之一就是時態。在中文中，我們的時態是依賴於一些具體的漢字進行闡述，如：“要，將，過，着，已經，了等等。”而英文中可以選擇利用動詞的時態進行表達。如：“一般將來時，正在進行時，現在完成時等等。”
其中之二是語態，中文裏多用主動，英文中多用被動。在中文中出現了“被”這個字，考生很容易想到使用被動進行翻譯，如：烹飪不僅被視爲一種技能，而且也被視爲一種藝術。譯文：Cooking is considered as not only a skill but also an art.然而，在很多情況下，中文表達並沒有“被”這個字，在英文中仍然採取被動句進行翻譯。如：中國結最初是由手工藝人發明的。譯文：The Chinese knot was originally invented by the craftsmen.
2.注意搭配
這裏的搭配主要指一些固定搭配，如“學習知識”不能用"learn knowledge"，而必須用"acquire knowledge"，"concern"後面的介詞必須跟"over"而不是"of"，如：“這與北美地區慶祝感恩節的習俗十分相似”中的“與…相似”譯文："be similar to"。
3.注意詞彙變通
很多同學會碰到這樣的情況，忽然間想不起一個英文單詞是什麼。在這種情況下，同學們可以另闢蹊徑，一種方法是試着用幾個詞去解釋這個單詞，二是找個相近的英文單詞來代替。如“匿名”對應的單詞是"anonymity"，我們可以用"an unknown name"或者直接用同義詞"pseudonym"來代替。 如：“皓月光空”譯文："bright moon in the sky"

複雜的漢字(Chinese characters)書寫體系是中國古代文化遺留下來的瑰寶。而這一體系正面臨着退化的`命運。隨着電腦和智能手機的迅速發展和普及，年輕人拿起筆卻寫不出字來的現象越來越常見。若不借助電子產品的幫助，很多人難以寫出10萬個日常用字。爲此，中央電視臺開播了一檔漢字聽寫比賽(Chinese Character Dictation Competition)節目，以引起人們對漢字的重視，幫助觀衆提高漢字書寫能力。
表達難點;
1.第1句中的“是中國古代文化遺留下來的瑰寶”如果逐字對譯爲isa treasure left over by Chinese ancient culture，則出現英文表達邏輯錯誤，left over by應後接施動者，而Chinese ancient culture 顯然不合適，故“遺留下來”應省譯，而用介詞of表達“漢字簡體系”和“中國古代文化”之間的所屬關係。
2.第3句“隨着……的現象越來越常見”可套用句型with…comes a commonly seen phenomenon that.年輕人拿起筆卻寫不出字來的“現象”的同位語，由that引出，譯爲young people are barely able to write with pen In hand，“拿起筆”可譯爲時間狀語從句when they take up the pen，但不如介詞短語with pen in hand來得簡單、地道。
3.第4句中的“很多人難以寫出10萬個日常用字”可套用句型sb. find it hard/difficult to do sth.，譯爲 many people find it hard to write 10,000 characters frequently used in daily life.
4.最後一句中的“以引起……，幫助……”，兩個並列結構均表目的，故將其譯作狀語to arouse…and improve…。
